![]() Be it drops, Kadala, Crafting or Rerolling via Kanai’s Cube. It’s being misled(read: Led into HT’s) int he very 1.2.0 Patch Notes or possibly lied to(prob going too far, I admit) or the fact that, once again, the Math is Wrong.Īs for “10%” - Folks who Played Diablo 3 understand 10% ie. That’s the biggest issue with Forgotten Souls - not the blatant Helltide gatekeeping. (before anyone uses the word “Legendary” - understand that this word does not appear in the Patch notes text - it’s RARES & Legendary items.īefore anyone uses “teh rng” - I have set myself to ZERO FS and salvaged countless “Legendary” and Rares. The following is, in no way, an accurate representation of FS acquisition rates by Salvaging items. Here: Diablo IV Patch Notes - Diablo IV - Blizzard News This is a CORE issue, misrepresentation in the Patch Notes which is a clear misleading and again, there have been multiple reports.Ĭurrently, Helltides might as well be the ONLY source for FS - Yet according to the Notes - this is not supposed to be the case. IF this is ‘wrong’ what else is wrong? hmm? We’re talking integrity here on the part of what is presented by the Devs and what players expect based upon said presentation. So please save the “I don’t have a problem” replies. This is once again in direct contradiction to the patch notes. The problem is that it’s not even a source at all - or near enough to amount to nothing. Salvaging is not to be the ONLY source - that’s fine and clearly understood. Personally, I don’t appreciate being misled by false data and I also don’t appreciate lack of action on a widely reported issue that is gatekeeping a material behind a singular, timed event, when it was clearly stated: 5% for these and 10% for those upon Salvaging. Whether some have no problems with FS or others are starving for them - all were blatantly misled in the patch notes. RESULTS from my test(which i FORGOT TO RECORD!!)ģ8 Ancestral Items - “LEGENDARY” = 3 Forgotten SoulsĢ Living Steel, 2 Mysterious, 1 Boots & 1 Amulet and random Helltide wandering = 48 Forgotten Souls. Thanks for the help to and BagboyBrown for assisting in clearing this up. I’m not trying to hide my error - just apologizing for false statements and jumping the gun etc. My erroneous post remains unedited below. ![]() ![]() Shame on me because this was how it was in D3 and I should’ve known better. It’s odd because I knew this at one point and apparently forgot and was misled(not in a bad way) by the wording in the notes not specifically mentioning Legendary items. Reflecting on some posts I have read - That seems to be the same misunderstanding we/many all(those who have posted in confusion about the FS rates) appear to have shared - though I only speak for me, directly, that I DID, in error think this(for some reason…). The wording in the patch notes I referenced was unclear in what has been a known thing - Legendary items ONLY grant FS - not ALL items. I apologize if I came across like a “insert xyz”. Why don’t you go make a video of salvaging 20 ancestral legs then get back to us. That means on average, 1 in 10 Ancestral legs will give you 1 FS.
